Vimentin in normal cells

backback
Fig. 1A. Vimentin staining of normal tonsil. All mature lymphocytes are strongly stained. Centrocytes and centroblasts are weakly stained. The squamous epithelium is unstained. Fig. 1B. Vimentin staining of normal breast. Vascular cells as well as fibroblasts surrounding the duct and myoepithelial cells in the basal layer of the duct are stained. The secretory duct epithelium is unstained.
Fig. 1C. Vimentin staining of normal liver. Endothelial cells in the portal arteries and veins are stained. In the sinusoids Kupffer cells are stained but also endothelial cells are weakly positive. Fig. 1D. Vimentin staining of normal kidney. Glomerular podocytes and Bowman capsular epithelium are stained. Endothelial cells are also stained. The tubular epithelium is unstained.
